Denver Broncos: Players to watch against Chicago Bears
Jake Butt, TE
While tight end Jake Butt is in no danger of losing his roster spot, he’s a player everyone wants to see make an impact on the field, even in a preseason game.
Butt’s debut was spoiled by the ineffectiveness of the offense as a whole, so again, a lot of what everyone wanted to see from the Broncos in their first preseason game is being run through the wash and re-used this week.
Butt has dynamic pass catching abilities but he’s also a very good blocker.
The Broncos will get him and Jeff Heuerman involved in the passing game and have two very big, very athletic tight ends to get the ball to if those guys are healthy.
Butt was an All-American tight end at Michigan and would have been selected very high in the 2017 NFL Draft were it not for a knee injury he suffered in his final game in college.
He’s a stud and has been showing out all offseason for the Broncos. Hopefully, we can get a glimpse of what he can do in this preseason game against Chicago.
