If I were a betting man, I would say this move is not likely to happen at all.

The Broncos have had a variety of injuries in the defensive backfield so far in training camp, and Webster is a guy who can float as a cornerback, safety, and special teams player.

If the team wanted him, wouldn’t they have signed him by now?

Webster has supported the many Broncos fans who have been clamoring for the team to sign him since he was released by the Los Angeles Rams, the team he bolted to last offseason for a chance to play increased snaps.

Webster unfortunately struggled with injuries in his first and only season with Los Angeles, and has been working to get himself fully healthy over the past few months before potentially working out for teams.

He alluded on his Instagram page that he has a number of teams on standby, and at one point, that list included the Broncos. His latest update, however, did not include Denver and he seemed  to indicate he was going to visit Houston in the near future.

Who knows?

The Broncos’ cornerback position has plenty of youth and one wild card in Tramaine Brock. The team seems intent on the top five guys they have being the top five going into the season, but we’ll see. There’s plenty of time and a number of interesting defensive backs still available.
