Phillip Lindsay – RB

The Broncos’ draft class of 2018 might be the most game-ready class in recent memory.

Brought in as an undrafted free agent, Lindsay possesses a large chip on his shoulder.

What stood out to me about Lindsay in Saturday’s action, was the amount of effort he played with and more importantly, he looked like the most explosive player on the field.

Lining up in the backfield, motioning out to the outside, catching a pass, and making moves with the ball in his hands demonstrated Lindsay’s potential.

Throughout Training Camp, Lindsay has been one of the most impressive players on the roster.

Saturday was no different.

Despite not having many rushing attempts or yards (two carries, seven yards) he made his presence felt as a receiver. He hauled in three passes for 40 yards and a touchdown.

After catching a quick pass from Chad Kelly who threw it against pressure, Lindsay caught the pass and there was nobody in sight to stop him.

His value to the Broncos can extend beyond just returning kicks, but as a dynamic tailback out of the backfield, and as an important runner on third down situations.

A local kid with big dreams, showcasing his ability in preseason action. I firmly believe he stood out on Saturday and look to see if he can continue the trend.
