The Denver Broncos got whipped up and down the field to start their first preseason game against the Vikings. Who must show the most improvement?
The Denver Broncos did not have a strong preseason debut for the most part, though there were some individual performers who stood out.
The preseason offers players an opportunity to hone their craft, and while some need the extra reps just to prove what they can do as bottom-of-the-roster types of guys, other players are just trying to get their feet wet with a new system and find chemistry.
That chemistry was not there yet for the Broncos’ new-look offense, which started the game out with two three-and-outs. The first-team defense didn’t fare much better, allowing the Vikings and their fans the opportunity to brag about their team and how good they looked all week.
With holes in the running game on defense and some inability to move the chains offensively, there’s plenty for the Broncos to work on as they prepare for yet another late Saturday night preseason game against the Chicago Bears in week two.
