The first Denver Broncos game is finally upon us as they face the Vikings Saturday. What are the top four storylines to follow heading into the game?

It’s finally the NFL season, and everyone can breathe a deep sigh of relief. We survived the offseason and our beloved Denver Broncos are set to take the field Saturday evening against the Minnesota Vikings.

Coming off a disastrous 2017 season, second-year head coach Vance Joseph is ready to show fans why John Elway believed in him. Last year was a struggle with ineffective play at key positions, inexperienced coaching across the board, and injuries hitting the Broncos hard.

Elway is not a fan of losing and he retooled and restocked the Broncos this offseason.

Elway went out and got a starting quarterback and surrounded him with playmakers in the draft. He also shipped out a few strong personalities in favor of young player development and a strong locker room culture.

The players that remain are ready to show the world that last year was a fluke, and I truly believe they will. The defense, although not exactly the same, remains largely intact from the 2015 dominance.

Additionally, Elway has done a fantastic job of adding young, dynamic elements to the defense like Su’a Cravens, Bradley Chubb, and Tramaine Brock.

Heading into the first preseason game, there are a lot of questions fans have and although the starters will likely only play a series or two, there are tons of great storylines to watch for.

Here are the top four storylines heading into the Denver Broncos verse the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday night.
