There’s plenty of understandable optimism with the Denver Broncos right now, but there are some players who have disappointed…

The Denver Broncos are in the thick of training camp and there’s plenty to be optimistic about, but there are also a few disappointments here or there.

It wouldn’t be a 90-man roster battle without a few disappointments, right?

Though the offense has been the major breakthrough unit at training camp, this is the side of the ball in focus as we look at three players who have really disappointed thus far, for varying reasons…

Carlos Henderson, WR

There is no player who has been more of a disappointment than Carlos Henderson.

After getting called out near the end of OTAs for essentially not practicing through injury by head coach Vance Joseph, Henderson no-showed Broncos training camp.

Henderson’s agent released a statement stating he was dealing with a family/personal matter, and that he understood the importance of this year’s training camp.

Considering the Broncos have probably seven or eight guys already who will be on an NFL roster when teams cut down to 53, plus an additional couple of guys worthy of practice squad spots, it seems Henderson is a little more than behind the eight ball.

No matter what happens with the rest of training camp, no single player is more of a disappointment in my eyes than Carlos Henderson.
