Justin Simmons
The Denver Broncos 2016 draft pick Justin Simmons burst onto the scene in 2017, showing a tremendous amounts of talent. One play in particular from last season exemplifies Simmons’ traits. Against the Oakland Raiders, Simmons made a game-clinching interception over Amari Cooper.
Cooper is one of the more polished wide receivers that catches everything thrown in his direction. Simmons made a breathtaking play jumping side-by-side with Cooper. The 6’2 or almost 6’3 frame of Simmons equaled Cooper to allow Simmons using his long arms making the interception.
Simmons is in a great situation to make his first Pro Bowl in 2018. Today in Training Camp, Simmons made another spectacular interception. In a 7-on-7 drill, Simmons laid out with full extension intercepting Case Keenum. This again reinforces Simmons’ athletic frame to cover nearly anyone and make it impossible to throw in his general area.
