Chad Kelly

In a nutshell, Chad Kelly was the MVP for the Denver Broncos in their scrimmage session. Kelly played exceptionally well on a day that is the closest to game action. People have been known to knock him as a gamer, but that is exactly what occurred on Sunday.

Kelly laid his body on the line for a block during their scrimmage. This is a great sign for a quarterback willing to do the dirty work and win games by all means necessary. He even displayed tremendous accuracy on long throws to Jordan Leslie and others in key situations.

One of the best traits with Kelly is he has a swagger that is infectious and his play is taking notice. Kelly has been playing with better confidence since Wednesday. Coaches are now putting together a plan for Kelly to take reps with the second team. If Kelly was underwhelming then the team would never consider him for the second unit.

His accuracy and pure gamesmanship was on display Sunday and a great foot forward to becoming the backup. However, like Lynch, Kelly must translate this confidence to the next practice and games.
