Other Standouts

Even in just one practice, it was easy to see certain players stand out.

Dave Williams, RB

The Broncos’ seventh-round draft pick had a couple of really nice touchdown runs in the first fully padded practice of the offseason, but one, in particular, was impressive as he stopped and made a gorgeous cut on a dime, leaving basically the entire defense on skates, easily accelerating through a hole for a score. Williams will be fascinating to watch in preseason action.

Isaiah McKenzie, WR/RS

Though McKenzie didn’t necessarily stand out on day four, his play in the first couple of days of practice generated a ton of buzz around camp. He is one of the most dynamic athletes on the team.

The big question is — can he be trusted?

Marquette King, P

Given the fact that King signed a pretty rich deal for a punter, it shouldn’t be overly surprising that he’s been a standout player. But the former Oakland Raider is as good as advertised, absolutely smashing footballs and punting them with great precision.
