Which player will be the Denver Broncos’ breakout player? Rising star? Which player should fans not forget about? Who needs to rebound?

The Denver Broncos have reported for training camp. Football season is finally upon us.

There are a few question marks on the team. Some of those questions will be answered in the coming weeks. Others will be answered during the season.

Here are a couple of individual player “awards” leading up to the start of the 2018 season. We’ll start off with a breakout player prediction…

Breakout Player: De’Angelo Henderson, RB

The Broncos released running back C.J. Anderson earlier this offseason, opening up a competition at the position. While I fully expect rookie draft pick, Royce Freeman, to be the main guy for a good portion of the season, I believe the Broncos will go with a committee approach at running back.

In his rookie season in 2017, Henderson had just seven carries for 13 yards. With the running back position potentially being strong this season, I think Henderson will get his share of carries throughout the 16-week season.

If Henderson excels, he could find his way up the depth chart during the season. I think he starts out third.

Henderson could also fit under the Comeback Player category. However, the Broncos primarily ran with Anderson in 2017.
