Honorable Mentions

Bradley Roby

The reason why he didn’t make the list? There are too many good cornerbacks in the AFC. He’ll be competing with last years Pro Bowlers Jalen Ramsey, AJ Bouye, and Casey Hayward. Not to mention his own teammate Chris Harris Jr who many believe should’ve been there last year.

Matt Paradis

The reason why he didn’t make the list? Although Paradis was named an alternate before, he’s never actually made the roster. The big reason Paradis was left off is due to recent injuries adding up. While he has yet to miss a game, hip injuries have taken a toll.

Shelby Harris

The reason why he didn’t make the list? Harris would need a huge season. Coming off a breakout season where he accounted for six sacks, Harris would need to nearly double that number. They typically give the defensive end positions to more of the prototypical pass rushing ends.

Domata Peko

The reason why he didn’t make the list? As they say, Father Time is undefeated. While Peko exceeded all expectations and was the main reason for a far improved run defense, he’ll turn 34 during the season.

Brandon McManus

The reason why he didn’t make the list? McManus struggled last year. While he improved towards the end of the season he only finished converting 75 percent of his kicks. McManus needs to regain his confidence this season.
