Terrell Davis

Terrell Davis, more affectionately known by Bronco nation as ‘T.D.’, had arguably the greatest four-year period in NFL history as a running back.

The late round draft pick out of Georgia thrived in Shannahan’s zone running scheme; his running ability was a huge catalyst for Denver’s back to back Super Bowl run.

From 1995 to 1998, Davis accumulated over 6,000 yards and 56 touchdowns including a 2,000-yard season in 1998. He is a three-time Pro Bowler, three-time All-Pro selection, two-time NFL Offensive Player of the Year, NFL Most Valuable Player (1998), and AFC Player of the year (1996).

Additionally, he is a member of Denver’s Ring of Fame and the NFL 1990’s All-Decade Team.

His greatest achievement in Denver though is his playoff performances. In three playoff years, Davis ran for 1,140 yards and 12 touchdowns including 157 yards and three touchdowns in Super Bowl 32. Davis received the Super Bowl MVP award after that performance.

Unfortunately for Davis and Broncos fans, his career was cut short by a series of leg injuries. He retired following the 2001 season.

Today, Davis runs his non-profit, The Terrell Davis Salute the Kids Foundation. In addition to running his foundation, Davis makes many promotional appearances and will occasionally be found as a guest commentator for a variety of football broadcasts.

In 2017, Davis was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame.
