The Denver Broncos have a talented roster, but what position groups have the most depth heading into the 2018 season? We evaluate the roster…

The Denver Broncos have a talented roster but some positions obviously have more depth than others.

What areas of the team have the strongest depth heading into the 2018 season?

Let’s take a look at some of the Broncos’ best position groups…

Wide Receiver

Click here for a full write-up on the wide receiver position group.

The Broncos’ deepest position offensively is clearly at wide receiver, even with much of that depth being unproven at this point.

The top two players at the position are Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders, but the Broncos have used four draft picks on wideouts the past two years, one each in the second, third, fourth, and fifth round of the NFL Draft.

Behind Thomas and Sanders are Courtland Sutton, DaeSean Hamilton, Carlos Henderson, and Isaiah McKenzie with Jordan Taylor also possibly factoring in there depending on his health.

The Broncos also have some players they are high on like Tim Patrick, who spent some time last season on the practice squad and got some reps with the first team offense in OTAs this Spring.

With the depth of the wide receiver position in Denver, it wouldn’t shock me to see teams call the Broncos about a potential trade as we draw closer to the start of the regular season.

It will be difficult for the Broncos to justify keeping fewer than six receivers on the 53-man roster.
