Creative group/Final thoughts

I’m no offensive coordinator, so the Broncos obviously will be able to incorporate more offensive packages than this, including some empty back sets or creative personnel groupings.

How about this one?

QB: Case Keenum
RB: Carlos Henderson
WR: Demaryius Thomas
WR: Emmanuel Sanders
SLOT: Courtland Sutton
TE: Jake Butt

This offensive group would allow the Broncos to use Henderson as a running back, as I’ve speculated before. The Minnesota Vikings utilized Jerick McKinnon exceptionally well despite his struggles as a pure running back.

If Henderson is struggling to adapt to an NFL route tree, why not use him in some ways like McKinnon while he continues to acclimate?

The Broncos can’t afford to continue wasting years of young players’ careers just so they can ‘develop’.

Find ways to get playmakers the football. Plain and simple.

Use Henderson as a receiver out of the backfield and mix it up every now and again by handing him the ball and getting him some extra touches. He is a former running back, after all.

With Sutton in the slot, the Broncos will have a major size advantage in the middle of the field with both Sutton and Butt roaming around.

There are so many ways the Broncos can incorporate their awesome talent offensively, so Bill Musgrave had better be up to the task.
