Special Teams & Final Thoughts

The Broncos’ rookie class won’t all be handed roles in the offense or defense immediately.

Like every other rookie class, many of these players will have to earn their stripes and trust from the coaching staff on special teams units.

Some players who could be prominent on special teams include Isaac Yiadom, DaeSean Hamilton, Josey Jewell, Keishawn Bierria, David Williams, Phillip Lindsay, and Jeff Holland.

The pressure will be on Lindsay and Hamilton if one of those who are selected as the team’s kick or punt returner this season.

The others will be counted on to make big plays in kick or punt coverage.

Including special teams, this has the potential to be one of the most impactful rookie classes league-wide. The Broncos’ philosophy must shift from bringing rookies along with tough love to something of a trial by fire.

Put the young players in position to succeed.
