Denver Broncos

Last season: 5-11, 4th place

Key offseason additions:

QB Case Keenum, OT Jared Veldheer, OLB Bradley Chubb, WR Courtland Sutton, RB Royce Freeman, DB Su’a Cravens, P Marquette King, CB Tramaine Brock

Key offseason losses:

CB Aqib Talib, RB C.J. Anderson, LB Corey Nelson, WR Bennie Fowler, WR Cody Latimer, TE Virgil Green, QB Trevor Siemian, QB Brock Osweiler

Never a dull moment in Denver, the Broncos took on some pretty major roster turnover in 2018.

The biggest loss was when the team traded Aqib Talib to the Los Angeles Rams, a move the Broncos and fans had seen coming since Talib signed his deal in 2014.

With so little dead money left on his contract, the Broncos saved $11 million trading Talib to the Rams and given his age, the move unfortunately made sense.

With Talib gone, the Broncos’ No Fly Zone will need some new members to step up, and there is no shortage of candidates.

The Broncos have free agent Tramaine Brock favored to take number three cornerback duties with former third-round draft choices Isaac Yiadom (2018) and Brendan Langley (2017) waiting in the wings.

The Broncos’ pass rush is getting a significant boost with the addition of first-round pick Bradley Chubb, who will take on a big workload immediately.

The biggest change in Denver came on the offensive side of the ball where Case Keenum was signed as the team’s starting quarterback.

Keenum played extremely well for the Minnesota Vikings in 2018 and the Broncos paid him handsomely for his great work.

If Keenum continues to play at a high level, the Broncos can go from worst to first in the AFC West.
