Contract: Two years, $7.5 million

Though it’s still very early on, the signing of Domata Peko was one of the best John Elway has made in his time with the Broncos.

In just one season with the team, Peko’s impact on the team’s run defense was remarkable. The Broncos went from being one of the most porous run defenses in 2016 to being a top three run defense thanks to Peko’s rejuvenated career in the 3-4 defense.

Playing the nose tackle position, Peko showed his ability not only to take on double teams, but to push through the offensive line and make tackles for loss.

Though he didn’t play 100 percent of the defensive snaps, Peko’s impact on and off the field has been phenomenal and he’s likely to get a contract extension offer from the Broncos if his body continues to hold up.
