2. Joey Bosa, Los Angeles Chargers

2017 stats: 16 games, 70 total tackles, 12.5 sacks, 4 forced fumbles

Two years into his NFL career, Joey Bosa has vaulted himself into the discussion as arguably the best edge player in the league.

Specifically, as a pass rusher, Bosa has become a terrifying threat capable of dominating games and imposing his will for four quarters.

Bosa had the top pass rush grade of any edge player in the NFL in 2017 with 51 hurries on the quarterback, 11 hits, and 12.5 sacks.

Bosa doesn’t have the same type of long speed as other players on this list, but he’s just as quick off the snap and has incredible length, power, and play strength.

When Bosa gets leverage on an offensive lineman, he can impose his will physically.

Sometimes he only needs one hand.

The tenacity Bosa has as a playmaker on the Chargers’ defensive line is so much fun to watch. He’s got an awesome all-around game but as a pass rusher, he’s nearly impossible to contain.
