8. Dee Ford, Kansas City Chiefs

2017 stats: 6 games, 13 total tackles, 2 sacks 1 fumble forced

The Chiefs brought Ford along pretty slowly after selecting him in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft, and understandably so.

Ford was playing behind a couple of players who will go down in Chiefs history as two of the best pass rushers to ever play for the team — Tamba Hali and Justin Houston.

When Ford finally got the chance to put together a full season of work, he racked up 10 sacks (2016) and looked like one of the best up-and-coming players off the edge in the NFL.

He, unfortunately, suffered a back injury in 2017 that limited him to just six games and his production took a hit as a result.

The talent is there for Ford but the production hasn’t been very consistent and now injury issues have entered the mix. He’s capable of being a very effective ‘Robin’ to Justin Houston’s ‘Batman’.
