The Denver Broncos had one of the best duos of inside linebackers in the NFL when they won Super Bowl 50.
Unfortunately, that success was short-lived as Danny Trevathan left for the Chicago Bears in free agency the following season, leaving the Broncos to reload at the position.
Trevathan’s departure opened the door for Todd Davis, a reserve on that 2015 squad, to take over a role in the starting lineup along with Brandon Marshall, who had emerged as a star at his position at that point.
Marshall assumed the role left behind by Trevathan while Davis took over Marshall’s old role.
The Broncos have experienced some mixed results in the two years following their Super Bowl victory, but this is a position group that looks reloaded and ready to make a significant impact on another very good defense.
