5. Bradley Roby

After patiently waiting behind Chris Harris Jr. and Aqib Talib for the early portion of his career, Roby is finally in line to start the season as a ‘starting’ corner.

He has big shoes to fill, as Broncos fans have grown accustomed to having a lockdown corner on both sides of the defense. But after coming off of a good year in 2017, Roby seems to be up for the challenge.

PFF ranked Roby as a top 25 corner in 2017, and there isn’t any reason the fourth-year player shouldn’t continue to get better next season. Roby can play outside, in the slot, and match up against receivers, tight ends, and running backs which makes him very valuable to the Broncos defense.

He is an above average run defender for a corner, which is another reason why Roby has been so good in the slot early in his career.

One of the most promising stats of Roby’s 2017 season shows his potential to be a lockdown corner for the Broncos. According to PFF, Roby allowed the lowest catch rate (17.4%) on contested passes out of any corner in the NFL during the 2017 season.
