Wide Receiver: Dez Bryant vs. Broncos WRs

Denver Broncos fans and non-Cowboys fans, in general, may be surprised to know that Dez Bryant has gotten worse almost annually since both he and Demaryius Thomas signed nearly identical contract extensions in 2015.

His catch rate has declined substantially and the Cowboys released him this offseason.

He’s still not signed.

Despite not yet being signed, it’s hard to think of a scenario where Bryant or any free agent wide receiver would make their way to Denver, barring an unforeseen amount of injuries happening in training camp.

Bryant is much more likely to catch on early with a team that has an actual need at the position, as the Broncos have both Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders along with promising draft picks Courtland Sutton and DaeSean Hamilton. They also have two draft picks from the class of 2017 in Carlos Henderson and Isaiah McKenzie competing with some strong undrafted players and reserve/future players.

Upgrade? No.
