Justin Simmons

Third year safety Justin Simmons showed enough in one season that Denver felt comfortable letting secondary leader TJ Ward go last season.

He did not disappoint.

The versatile secondary defender out of Boston College is heading into his third season with high expectations. Last year he had two interceptions, one touchdown, and a sack.

Even Pro Football Focus rated him 37th out of 86 qualifying safeties with a rating of 80.2

With new weapons on the Denver defense and a full year starting under his belt, I fully anticipate Simmons elevating his game from above average starter to elite level safety this year.
