Denver Broncos Ring of Fame candidates on the 2018 roster
By Andrew Wade
Josey Jewell
Here is my sleeper pick for an eventual Ring of Fame inductee, Josey Jewell.
The fourth rounder out of Iowa is already pushing current starter, Todd Davis, for playing time heading into training camp.
Jewell has the production, durability, and instincts to have a long career in the blue and orange.
The highly decorated Hawkeye started three full seasons for the black and yellow, and he became the first sophomore to ever be named permanent team captain in the Kirk Ferentz era. During his tenure in Iowa City, Jewell was a tackling machine. He finished his career with 433 tackles including 28 tackles for loss.
For his efforts, he is a two-time Second-Team All-Big Ten, one-time First-Team All-Big Ten and a unanimous First-Team All-American. After a senior season with 125 tackles, Jewell received Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year Honors, and he won the Jack Lambert award.
The knock coming out of college on Jewell is athleticism. His football IQ, work ethic, and fundamentals more than make up for these concerns.
It’s only a matter of time before Jewell takes over a starting linebacker role and begins racking up production worthy of adding to Ring of Fame.

What’s next for the Ring of Fame?
Broncos fans do not get the chance to see new additions to the Ring of Fame this year. However, there are many quality players on this year’s team that can continue proving their worthiness of the honor. Who do you think could make a case for inclusion?
