Elway Snatches A Win Over Kansas City at Home

Another heated rivalry for the Denver Broncos are the Kansas City Chiefs. As a fan, I always remember the struggles Denver had against this team. While there is one comeback against Kansas City that sticks in my memory, we will be talking about a different comeback.

We go back to 1992. The Kansas City Chiefs were holding on to a 19-6 lead in the fourth quarter. It was once again time for John Elway to orchestrate another comeback.

It would be once again a game in which Elway’s only touchdown passes came during the comeback. He would complete 23 of his 38 passes for 311 yards. A 25-yard pass to Mark Jackson started the comeback and it would be completed with a 12-yard pass to Vance Johnson.

The Broncos would go on to win the game 20-19. The winner would be in first place in the AFC West that, at the time, was a battle between the Broncos and Chiefs.
