The Denver Broncos are patient.

When John Elway and the rest of the front office make an investment in a player, they wait at least until the end of that player’s rookie contract (usually) to see if the player can realize his full potential.

Sometimes, however, that patience runs out. The Broncos are not going to let players struggle to succeed if it’s going to cost the team wins and losses.

For that reason, we’re going to take a look at five players on the Broncos’ roster facing a make-or-break season.

These are players the Broncos have invested either a lot of money in, a high draft pick in or players who have shown promise in regular season or preseason action and are being given golden opportunities to make an impact.

If these players can’t seize their opportunity, it’s likely the Broncos will let them walk when their contract is up, or they could be traded, or they could just be cut outright.
