The Rest

Elijah Wilkinson, age 23

The 2017 undrafted free agent out of UMass was originally signed to the Broncos’ practice squad last season before an extended stay on the team’s active roster. He didn’t get many regular season snaps, but the team felt strongly enough about his potential to roster him most of the season and keep him around for another year. He will compete to be the team’s swing tackle.

Andreas Knappe, age 27

The Broncos signed Knappe as a reserve/future contract player this offseason and like other teams that have brought him in, the Broncos are enamored by his combination of size (6-foot-8, 325 pounds) and athletic ability. The problem is, to this point, Knappe has not been able to really put it together. He has been considered a project as a right tackle, but drew some positive reviews coming out of Broncos OTAs.

Leon Johnson, age 23

The 6-foot-6, 300-pound Leon Johnson joined the Broncos this offseason as an undrafted free agent out of Temple.

With a veteran presence currently ahead of him on the roster, Johnson faces an uphill battle to make the roster but could certainly be a candidate for the practice squad. As he improves his core and functional strength, he has the type of aggressiveness and hand punch to excel at this level.
