Garett Bolles, age 26

The Broncos were understandably excited about Garett Bolles after watching him work out prior to the 2017 NFL Draft.

Bolles had his ups and downs at Utah in his final season there after transferring, and some of those struggles carried over to the NFL game.

Bolles’ propensity for penalties was a hindrance to his rookie season, but the Broncos believe those issues can be cleared up rather quickly.

This is a player at 300 pounds with incredible toughness and athletic ability, and quick feet to stay with some of the league’s best pass rushers.

Bolles is effective in pass protection and as a run blocker, but he needed to use the 2018 offseason to get stronger. If he is able to do that, he could quickly be one of the best left tackles in football.

His goal for 2018 should be to get the penalties under control and be more technically sound. Bolles had a good rookie season with some streaks of poor play. He showed more than just flashes of his dominant potential last season.
