Interceptions

Record to beat: 14 (Dick ‘Night Train Lane)

Spoiler alert: Isaac Yiadom is not likely to pick off 14 passes in his rookie season.

He may not even be a full-time starter, for that matter.

With that being said, Dick ‘Night Train’ Lane’s interception record as a rookie has been around since before the Super Bowl era.

In the Super Bowl era, some of the best rookie interception totals are not out of the realm of reality, but still pretty unlikely.

Marcus Peters picked off eight passes in 2015, a glorious year for the Denver Broncos.

If Yiadom is able to seize a prominent role with the Broncos’ defense, that pass rush is absolutely good enough to cause some errant throws from the quarterbacks they face.

Picking off eight passes would mean that Yiadom is targeted a lot, and he’s in the correct position more often than not.

This record is obviously safe, but hopefully, Yiadom can help this defense make some plays on the ball.
