Sacks

Record: 14.5 (Jevon Kearse, 1999)

Jevon Kearse’s rookie record of 14.5 sacks doesn’t feel like a big enough number to have stood the test of time over the past 20 years.

Since this year’s rookie class was the first time since 1999 that four quarterbacks were selected in the top 10 picks, perhaps the rookie sack record is meant to be broken this year as well.

Broncos rookie Bradley Chubb had 10 sacks each of the past two seasons at North Carolina State, but he will not be the main focus of attention for opposing teams anymore.

Von Miller is going to be receiving the double teams, and Chubb has a great chance of cashing in.

Eclipsing 14.5 sacks would mean a sack just about every week in the regular season, but with some big individual games, this is a number that Chubb can reach as a rookie.

In fact, this may be the most likely of all rookie records to be broken by the Broncos in 2018.
