AFC West: Top 10 underrated offseason moves for each team

3. Oakland Raiders: Derrick Johnson, LB

The Oakland Raiders emphasized adding veteran leadership this offseason, and no one exemplifies that more than Derrick Johnson.

Because of his age and injury history, not many are talking about this move for Oakland.

With that said, we all saw the type of impact Navorro Bowman had on their defense last season and having that type of veteran presence and leadership for an entire year can make all the difference in the world.

When healthy, Johnson is still a very good player.

If the Raiders can get a full season or even close to a full season out of him, Johnson is the type of player that can help elevate the level of play of the guys around him.

This was a very underrated move by Jon Gruden and company.
