There were a number of major moves made in the AFC West throughout the 2018 offseason, but what about those moves that have gone under the radar?

Some teams were more active than others, and therefore have a more prominent presence on this list, but here are 10 moves made by the Los Angeles Chargers, Oakland Raiders, Kansas City Chiefs, and Denver Broncos that didn’t make major headlines but might make a big difference during the 2018 season.

10. Oakland Raiders: Tahir Whitehead, LB

The Oakland Raiders added some significant veteran players to their defense this offseason, not the least of which was linebacker Tahir Whitehead.

Whitehead has been excellent the past few seasons as he’s grown into a full-time role with the Detroit Lions, racking up 132 total tackles in 2016 and 110 tackles in 2017.

He’s got great size at 6-foot-2, 240 pounds, and will be able to transition easily to an outside linebacker position in Paul Guenther’s defense with the Raiders.

He was around the ball a lot this past season, recovering four fumbles for the Lions.

The Raiders are getting a player who can play inside and outside, and someone that has great range and instincts at the linebacker position.
