Kickers aren’t often rewarded with Hall of Fame inductions or even team-specific Ring of Fame honors. Jason Elam wasn’t just your average kicker, however.

Elam had a stellar 17-year career with 15 of those years coming in Denver. After being picked by Denver in the third round out of the University of Hawaii, he went on to make three Pro Bowls, three First-team All-Pro selections and win two Super Bowls.

He currently co-holds the record for the longest field goal in NFL history at 63 yards, and he is eighth in career points with 1,983. Those 1,983 make him the Broncos’ career leader in points as well, by a long margin. Elam is also ninth in made career field goals.

For his efforts, Elam was inducted into the Broncos Ring of Fame in 2016 and selected to Denver’s 50th Anniversary Team. Since Elam left Denver, the Broncos have been searching for a replacement for years shuffling through guys every 2-3 years in hopes of finding another Jason Elam.
