Denver Broncos: 30 greatest players of all time
Demaryius Thomas is one of the most gifted athletes to play the wide receiver position for the Broncos.
His rare strength and speed match the new-age wave of talent. Much like Floyd Little replacing Jim Brown at Syracuse, Thomas replaced another great wide receiver and arguably best ever at Georgia Tech in Calvin Johnson.
Thomas stared his Broncos career battling injuries, but with Peyton Manning, the light switch turned on and Thomas never looked back.
Consistently, Thomas has had a tremendous amount of production during his seasons with the team. From touchdowns to yardage, Thomas became a trusted figure in the corps of wide receivers.
There have been some troubles with drops, but to have it outweigh his positive time with the Broncos is asinine.
Thomas also became one of the toughest players to play the position and still produce. There have been scary injuries Thomas sustained, but he gets right back on the field fighting through the pain and succeeds.
When all is said and done, Thomas might be the best wide receiver in Broncos history. Some significant records currently held by Rod Smith are well within reach for Thomas, and he’s still only 30 years old.
