Denver Broncos: The top 10 Tim Tebow moments
6. The Bears game
Trying to pick just one moment from this Bears game in 2011 is impossible.
Tebow was, of course, mic’d up for this game, and provided us with some of the most legendary sound bites in Broncos history.
The Broncos are down 10-0 in this game with very little hope of coming back and winning. Tebow goes over to Demaryius Thomas after a tough play and consoles him by telling him he’s going to make the play of the game.
As fate would have it, Tebow would get the Broncos back into the game by driving down the field late in the fourth quarter and hitting Thomas for a touchdown to put the Broncos down by just three points.
After some incredibly bad clock management by the Bears on the following drive, Tebow and the Broncos are able to get the ball back and get into Matt Prater’s field goal range.
He of course hits and sends the game to overtime.
In overtime, the Broncos get the ball and Tebow makes an incredible throw to Demaryius Thomas to set the Broncos up in field goal range once again.
The whole game is full of awesome moments, but Tebow’s prophetic word of encouragement to Thomas stands out.
