The Denver Broncos have a stadium name for the 2018 season; however, it is temporary with hopes of sticking permanently…

Fans will approve of the new name for the Denver Broncos home stadium.

9News announced the team titled their building “Broncos Stadium at Mile High.” This is a positive sign quantifying the home as the Broncos’ residence.

The franchise could have decided to name the stadium after legendary owner Pat Bowlen, but this is the best alternative.

There is a chance this name sticks permanently.

In my opinion, sponsors will continue to line up to be part of Mile High Stadium. But, the number of wins achieved in 2018 can force potential sponsors to take a longer look before committing long term.

The name “Broncos Stadium at Mile High” quantifies it as the state’s venue. Until the other teams in the area win multiple championships, it will remain a “Broncos town.” This new name further exemplifies this.

One positive to this new stadium name is keeping “Mile High.”

“Mile High” is a Colorado staple for the entire professional sports landscape statewide.

The Broncos’ first stadium simply was called “Mile High Stadium.” It became imperative for this phrase to remain intact for the foreseeable future.

The Denver Broncos appear committed to retaining the franchise’s rich history.

Again, it is possible the Broncos stay with the name “Broncos Stadium at Mile High.” It depends on the current state of the team and their success in 2018, as well as the franchise’s continued look at a sponsor.

The release of the stadium name is not a surprise. In March, the Denver Broncos stated their preference to title the building before Training Camp. We are close to the month of July. The Broncos stayed close to their word back in March.

In my opinion, the name “Broncos Stadium at Mile High” is an homage to the original “Mile High.”

For me, I would think about keeping the name depending on the 2018 team’s success. It is worth noting there’s still no timetable for a permanent name. However, this is a huge step in the right direction.
