De’Angelo Henderson, age 25

Henderson was a sixth-round draft pick in 2017, and after his performance in the Broncos’ preseason games, it was widely expected he would have a role on game days.

He did not.

Henderson was inexplicably sidelined almost the entire season, and when he was unleashed in week 17, it was no surprise that he scampered for a 28-yard touchdown on a screen pass from Paxton Lynch.

Henderson’s playmaking ability and combination of vision, quickness, and power make him an intriguing prospect.

He suffered some unfortunate injuries in a car accident that kept him out of more reps at OTAs than he probably would have liked, but from a big picture perspective, he’s lucky to be alive.

Henderson’s progression from year one to year two will be exciting to watch. He was a fan favorite during camp and the preseason in 2017, and if he is back to full strength by training camp this year, he can compete for a starting or prominent role in the Broncos’ lineup.
