Safety

Depth, versatility, personality

Perhaps part of the way the Broncos can fill the void left by Aqib Talib is to utilize their awesome depth at safety to supplement their apparent lack of (proven) depth at cornerback.

The Broncos have four safeties on the roster capable of starting for this or almost any team in the league in Darian Stewart, Justin Simmons, Will Parks, and newcomer Su’a Cravens.

This group has such a dynamic skill set, but the most exciting thing they all bring to the table is a wide variety in the personality department.

These guys are fiery, confident, and exactly what you want an NFL safety to be.

They can play all over the defensive formation, with Stewart and Simmons excelling at the deep free safety position and Parks and Cravens working well in the box in a strong safety role.

Because of these players’ unique skills, the Broncos could utilize some really fun pairings throughout the season and Joe Woods will have his work cut out for him finding those ideal groupings on the back end of a very talented defense.

In addition to the top four guys, the Broncos have some really intriguing young depth with Dymonte Thomas and Jamal Carter, who ended up on the active roster late last season.
