The Denver Broncos have officially hired former linebacker DeMarcus Ware as a pass rush consultant, in a part-time role with the team…

The Denver Broncos are officially hiring DeMarcus Ware again.

Unfortunately this time, it’s not as a player, but having him around the facility more often is going to be a major benefit to the team.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Ware’s part-time role with the team is set to be made an official role going forward:

The impact DeMarcus Ware made on Von Miller from 2014-present day cannot be overstated. Miller has talked at length about the way Ware helped turn his career and life around.

Ware understands what it takes to be a Hall of Famer, both on and off the field.

With the Broncos assembling one of the most talented groups of pass rushers in the NFL this season, it is a great move for the team to bring in someone like Ware to work with them and teach them what he knows.

Though he’s already done some consulting with the Broncos, Ware also made his way to Dallas to do some work with his other former team, the Cowboys.

This move officially makes Ware an employee of the Broncos, and even on a part-time basis, he’s going to have a significant impact.

Ware will get the chance to be hands-on with the young players on this roster that just missed out on a chance to play and work with him, specifically Bradley Chubb.

The team’s top draft pick has so much talent and a highly regarded work ethic already. Imagining what he’ll be able to do after working a few times per month with Ware is very exciting.

The Broncos’ sack totals have dipped considerably since the 2015 season.

That year was a banner year and perhaps it’s unfair to expect the type of production we saw in that particular season, but the Broncos are going to try their best to get back to sacking the quarterback around three times per game.

Ware’s experience, techniques, and approach will help them achieve that.
