Jared Veldheer

Not only will Jared Veldheer pay dividends for the Broncos as a mentor to Garett Bolles, he’ll provide instant impact for at least a season as Bolles’ bookend on the right side of the offensive line.

When healthy, Veldheer is a top tackle in the NFL.

The key is going to be getting him to stay healthy for a full season, and the Broncos are proceeding with caution.

In Veldheer and Bolles, the Broncos have maybe the top combination of athleticism and nastiness at the tackle position in the entire league.

Of course, we’ve yet to see this combination on the field for even a single practice of OTAs, but hopefully by training camp, we’ll see how effective these two guys can be together, not only in the running game where we know they will be effective but as pass blockers, where the Broncos desperately need to find a way to keep their quarterback out of harm’s way.

Veldheer is the best tackle if even just on paper, the Broncos have had lined up on the right side since Orlando Franklin left the team.
