The third unit

Trey Marshall

Trey Marshall, an undrafted free agent out of Florida State, is a player that may have caught the Broncos’ eye when they were scouting DeMarcus Walker ahead of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Marshall was much better in 2016 than he was in 2017 and showed an ability to absolutely crush people from his safety position.

He didn’t show the kind of ball skills necessary to be a draftable player in the NFL, but he was definitely an enforcer for Florida State.

Jordan Moore

Jordan Moore was a reserve/futures contract player for the Broncos who might be one of the best athletes on the team.

He’s a classic ‘blank canvas’ type of player with the size of a linebacker, the speed of a cornerback, and the raw talent coaches live to extract.

It’s possible he’ll need another year working on the practice squad, but don’t be surprised if his raw ability translates to some big plays as a member of the Broncos’ third unit defensively.
