Andreas Knappe, Offensive Tackle

Andreas Knappe is going to stand out at Denver Broncos training camp and OTAs and everywhere else he goes because he’s absolutely humongous.

At 6-foot-8, 325 pounds, he is literally the biggest player on the roster.

More than just his imposing size, however, Knappe showed consistent improvement at the end of his college career at UConn as a pass protector.

The Broncos’ depth at tackle is — at best — uncertain. There’s an opportunity for him to seize a roster spot as the team’s swing tackle with Menelik Watson seemingly moving to the guard position.

Knappe has bounced around a few different practice squads in his short NFL career. Going up against one of the most talented groups of pass rushers in the league, Knappe has a chance to put out some really good tape in practices and show what he’s capable of doing with his combination of length and strength.
