Peyton Manning attending Denver Broncos OTAs Thursday

Former Denver Broncos quarterback, future Hall of Famer, and Super Bowl 50 champion Peyton Manning is at the facility for practice…
One day you’re golfing with Tiger Woods, and the next you’re being summoned back to Denver Broncos headquarters by John Elway and company to work with the team you once led to a Super Bowl.
If you’re Peyton Manning, at least.
According to Mike Klis, The Sheriff is returning to Denver and taking part in OTAs, though not quite in a similar capacity to that of DeMarcus Ware, who is helping coach up the team’s pass rushers.
Peyton Manning is on the other side of that wall. He’s attending #broncos practice today. More or less just watching, not there in an instructional role like DeMarcus Ware. #whataview pic.twitter.com/EJwg39Pkmy

Manning obviously knows Ware quite well, and he’s also very familiar with Howard Mudd, the man who is coming in to do some part-time work with the offensive line.
Earlier this offseason, current Broncos quarterback Case Keenum vowed he would get together with Manning at some point this offseason to pick his brain and learn what he could.

Perhaps this is an even better alternative.
Manning’s insights are invaluable as he made a career out of beating opponents mentally and using his manipulation before the snap to essentially control the outcome of most games.
Sometimes, Manning would make a miscalculation, but those mistakes were few and far in between.
None of the Broncos’ current quarterbacks had the opportunity to work with Manning when he was on the Broncos’ roster. After the Broncos let go of both Trevor Siemian and Brock Osweiler, Manning’s imprint on the quarterback position all but vanished.
His presence at OTAs, for however long, changes that.
This is a great move for the Broncos, because not only will Manning get the chance to observe new starter Case Keenum, he’ll get to observe and hopefully help Paxton Lynch and Chad Kelly, two young players who are still trying to find their way in this league.
Whatever those guys are able to glean from Manning, even in a day’s worth of work, will make them better players on and off the field.
