This news has been known for some time, but Broncos wide out Jordan Taylor will sit out of organized team activities next week due to injury.

Jordan Taylor was able to provide some help to the Denver Broncos return game in 2017. When Isaiah McKenzie fumbled the job away, Taylor did what he could to help a unit that struggled in a big way. During the 2017 season, he played through some pain in his hip.

After successful surgery, the goal is now to rest until he can get better. That may take some time. Jordan Taylor will miss the upcoming Denver Broncos organized team activities. The goal is to have the wide out ready to go sometime during training camp.

While it is important to get healthy, he has a stiff test ahead of him if he wants to make the final roster. The Denver Broncos are loaded at the wide receiver position heading into camp. Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders will be the clear top two guys going into the season.

From there, it gets a bit foggy. Carlos Henderson and Isaiah McKenzie will be returning from the draft last season. Denver added Courtland Sutton and DaeSean Hamliton in this year’s draft. With four players with a year or less of experience, it will be important for Jordan Taylor to find a way to grab a spot in 2018.

With his experience, he should have a clean chance to earn his spot. It will take a lot of hard work and dedication after his return from hip surgery. His experience should help him get a roster spot. But the young receivers on the roster will provide plenty of energy to give Jordan Taylor a big run for a roster spot in 2018.
