Unlike the wide receiver position, there is not much variation for the Broncos at the tight end position.

From the player’s build to athletic makeup, and even to the conference they played collegiately (Big Ten) the majority of this position group for the Broncos is very much alike.

The only real outlier at this position is Austin Traylor, who is a little bit shorter and slower and less athletic than his peers.

The Broncos have really identified a ‘type’ at the tight end position and they’ve really not deviated from it.

For the most part, these guys are the ideal size for NFL tight ends, average speed, above average explosiveness, and above average upper-body strength.
