Carlos Henderson, Wide Receiver/Returner

Though Henderson was a third-round pick coming from Louisiana Tech last year, it was expected that he would provide a spark to the Broncos’ offense and special teams.

That didn’t happen after a thumb injury in training camp was aggravated in a preseason game, and Henderson was placed on injured reserve.

Was placing him on IR necessary? That may never be fully known, but the Broncos obviously felt that he was either not healthy enough or not capable enough to contribute year one.

That has to change in 2018.

Henderson — as Essary notes in the podcast — was the premiere tackle-breaker at the wide receiver position in college football from 2015-2016.

This is a player who just finds a way to make plays in space and make defenders miss at a high rate. The Broncos need to find ways to get the ball in his hands and let him do what he does.
