The Denver Broncos have high hopes for their 2018 rookie class, and rightfully so. The class includes 10 draft picks and seven undrafted free agents, all of whom Vance Joseph said had ‘draftable’ grades.

Getting star prospects in this year’s draft class will go a long way to providing the foundation for the future of the Denver Broncos, but what about some of the ‘redshirt rookies’ who were held out of action last year?

I’m talking about top 100 picks and players who were graded as top 100 picks.

The Broncos had four picks in the top 99 of the 2018 NFL Draft, but the return of players like Carlos Henderson and Jake Butt, along with an expanded role for DeMarcus Walker, make it feel like the Broncos’ ‘rookie’ class this year is set to be one of the most exciting to come along in a long while.

Along with Brandon Keckler (co-host of ‘The Juice’) and Jeffrey Essary (writer/analyst at Mile High Report), I discussed some of these prospects at length in a recent podcast.

There are a number of players set to play expanded roles for the Denver Broncos in 2018. As a matter of fact, almost the entire 2017 NFL Draft class for the Broncos (except for 16-game starter and first-round pick Garett Bolles) will have a chance to increase their importance in 2018.

Here’s a quick look at each player, in the order they are talked about in the podcast…
