Here is a list of Denver Broncos players who have birthdays in the month of May. There are some significant contributors on the list…

The Denver Broncos have quite a few players who have birthdays in the month of May.

Here is a list of the players, along with career information. Starting off with a player who I think has a chance to shine in the 2018 season…

RB Devontae Booker –  Booker turns 26 this month.

He is atop the Broncos depth chart pre-training camp with the departure of CJ Anderson but will have to compete with rookies Royce Freeman, Phillip Lindsay, and David Williams, as well as second-year player De’Angelo Henderson, to keep the starting job.

In 29 games played in two seasons, Booker has rushed the football 253 times for 911 yards (3.6 yards per attempt).

Booker joined the Broncos as a fourth-round draft pick in 2016.

Now, a guy who will block for Booker…

FB Andy Janovich – Janovich turns 25 this month.

He plays a position that is seldom-used in today’s NFL.

In the past, with Mike Shanahan as head coach, the Broncos were known for finding running backs late in the draft. There have been many running backs who gained over 1,000 yards rushing while a fullback is blocking for them.

The Broncos selected Janovich with a sixth-round draft pick in 2016.

WR Brian Parker – Parker turns 26 this month.

Signed as a free agent in 2017 by the Broncos, Parker spent time with the San Diego Chargers, Kansas City Chiefs, and New York Jets after going undrafted in 2015.

He has just one catch in his entire NFL career.

T Garett Bolles – Bolles turns 26 this month.

The Broncos’ left tackle was drafted with the 20th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. He started all 16 games last year at the most important position on offense other than quarterback. His job is to protect the quarterback’s blind side.

Bolles struggled quite a bit as a rookie. He committed the second-most penalties at his position league-wide. He protected the blindside of three quarterbacks last year: Trevor Siemian, Brock Osweiler, and Paxton Lynch.

The team hopes that he gets better at playing his game, while protecting yet another quarterback in 2018: Case Keenum.

LB Todd Davis – Davis turns 26 this month.

One of the Broncos’ many young linebackers, Davis has been with the team since he was signed from the New Orleans Saints’ practice squad in 2014.

Since then, he has accumulated 221 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries. He has done enough as a Bronco that the team signed him to a three-year contract extension in 2018.

LB Shane Ray – Ray turns 25 this month.

Ray was a first-round draft pick in the 2015 draft. He has 13 sacks in his short career.

Despite his decent play for the Broncos, the team declined his fifth-year option (2019) and he will become a free agent when the new league year starts next year.

A cornerback that will prove he has what it takes to replace Aqib Talib, and another cornerback who will fight for a spot on the 53-man roster…

CB Bradley Roby – Roby turns 26 this month.

Roby has been a great addition to the Broncos defense as another first-round pick. At just 26 years old, Roby is a young player who will fill in for Aqib Talib, whom the Broncos released this offseason.

His future is extremely bright, despite the departure of former Broncos defensive coordinator Wade Phillips, who is now the Los Angeles Rams’ defensive coordinator.

CB CJ Smith – Smith turned 25 this month.

The Broncos claimed Smith off waivers from the Cleveland Browns in mid-April. Despite Smith’s lack of stats, the Broncos liked what they saw of him.

He will fight for a roster spot with the team during training camp and climb as high on the depth chart as possible.
