Offensive Line

Additions: Jared Veldheer, Sam Jones

Lost: Donald Stephenson

The Broncos gave up a 6th round pick to get Jared Veldheer from the Arizona Cardinals. Veldheer struggled last year in his first full season as a right tackle after primarily playing left tackle earlier in his career. Swapping sides of the offensive line is especially difficult for offensive tackles and Veldheer should be improved as a right tackle with a full off-season to adjust.

The other roster moves involving the offensive line include drafting Sam Jones in the 6th round and letting Donald Stephenson leave in free agency. Letting Stephenson go was a smart move as he struggled during his time in Denver. Jones is an interesting developmental prospect that plays with good technique but needs to get stronger.

The Verdict: Improved

One of the easier decisions on this list is that the Broncos clearly improved their offensive line. While the improvements are not massive, Veldheer was a low-risk addition and the offensive line unit should be stronger in 2018.
