Lowell Lotulelei – Defensive Tackle

If you think you’ve heard the name Lowell Lotulelei before, well, you might be right. Or you could be thinking of Lowell’s brother, Star Lotulelei.

The Denver Broncos signed Lowell Lotulelei as an undrafted free agent after the draft. He is a big defensive tackle (319 lbs) who could provide depth at the position behind Domata Peko.

Denver gave Lotulelei a $15,000 signing bonus, which makes it seem like they are high on the rookie. I have no doubt that he will make the 53-man roster, and make a huge impact on the already-stacked defensive line of the Broncos.

The Broncos have Domata Peko at defensive tackle right now, but he is getting up there in age. Having Lotulelei on the roster would give the Broncos the opportunity to give Peko some plays off if he needs them.
